An increasing number of pilgrims are subscribing for participation to the Grand Walk in 5 European countries. Under way is the formation of a Group which will travel to Trondheim in order to attend to the departure cerimonies of the first team starting the pilgrimage. on April 24th toward the South of Europe.

E' in continuo aumento il numero dei pellegrini che si iscrivono alla Grande camminata del 2015 attraverso 5 Paesi europei. Si sta inoltre formando un gruppo di pellegrini che intendono partecipare alle cerimonie di saluto al team che partirà il 24 aprile da Trondheim per scendere attraverso l'Europa fino alla Puglia.

Going from Scandinavia to Mitteleuropa and Italy means  friendship among nations, exchange of cultures and the unique characteristic of promoting the understanding among religions.

• This walk is a message of peace from Europe to the peoples of the Mediterranean afflicted with violence and war.

Do come! Choose one or two areas of Europe you want to know.

Do come! Meet local people, walk and talk with them.

Do come! And contribute to the cultural and spiritual value of the pilgrimage.

Seven no-profit European associations are joined to develop the Pilgrims Crossing Borders trail. They are seeking the support of other associations throughout the world. The most famous pilgrimage routes are a  patrimony of mankind. They were originated according to the needs of many centuries ago. The new route has modern ideals: mutual understanding and friendship among nations, exchange of cultures, interfaith content especially of both Protestant and Catholic spirituality, give a message of peace carried from the Southernmost place of Europe from its peoples to the Middle east countries.

Magnificent and most varied is the environment crossed by this walk. From the snow of Norway and the splendid walk towards South. Then the sweet territory of Denmark  and its moorland, followed by the beautiful and rich in history regions of Germany. Then we cross the mountains in Austria in Summer to reach the well known regions of North Italy with many famous towns. Very picturesque the crossing of the Appennines in the regions of Romagna, Umbria and Tuscany to arrive in Rome, one of the capitals of the world. At the same time of the walk in North Italy we have a walk from Rome towards South Italy, most rich in history and culture besides a territory with a nature full of character and inviting to meditation. Local people here will accompany the pilgrims and show an ancient hospitality.

The walk in Europe is followed by a pilgrimage of 170 km crossing the Holy Land and touching the most relevant places of the area. This conclusion is a message of peace to all peoples of that area, suffering because of war and violence.

This grand project needs participation to the walk (see: Picrobo.blogstop.com ) but also support to make known its importance and value to the public opinion (see: Picroboitalia.blogstop.it).

 Il cammino dalla Norvegia alla città più a Sud della Puglia è un messaggio di pace dall’Europa ai popoli sul Mediterraneo afflitti da violenza e dalla guerra.

Vieni! Incontra la gente del luogo, cammina con loro.

Vieni! Dai il tuo contributo al contenuto culturale e spirituale del pellegrinaggio.

Anche se non cammini con noi, serve il tuo sostegno. Questo progetto, pur molto valido e sostenuto da varie associazioni volontarie, non metterà radici se non è condiviso da un buon numero di amici nel mondo.

Pilgrims Crossing Borders     è un nuovo sentiero di pellegrinaggio

Gli antichi percorsi sorsero per le esigenze di secoli fa. Il nuovo cammino  usa vari percorsi storici  collegandoli fra loro. Dalla Norvegia (22 Aprile) passa la Danimarca, attraversa l’intera Germania e l’Austria, entra in Italia, scende a Roma (15 ottobre) avendo  raggiunto S. Maria di Leuca, l’estremo sud d’Italia, passerà poi a Gerusalemme per un cammino in Terra Santa.

Pilgrims Crossing Borders risponde a ideali moderni. Lo promuovono 7 associazioni senza lucro.  Passa attraverso  nazioni mai legate prima da grandi itinerari di pellegrinaggio come Scandinavia e Mitteleuropa.     Ne consolida la reciproca conoscenza e amicizia, fa scambio di culture  e, importante, fa comunicare la spiritualità protestante con quella cattolica mai realizzata prima nei pellegrinaggi. Ma l’obiettivo più importante dei pellegrini venuti da Nord a Sud attraverso tutta l’Europa e arrivati al mare di fronte a paesi oggi in preda di violenze e di guerra è portare messaggi e simboli di pace a quei popoli da tutta Europa..
